In order to get the best experience out of your candles, follow these simple steps. When first lighting the candle, please allow more than an hour of burn time to completely melt the top of the candle. A complete wax pool across the top of the candle will stop the candle from tunneling which can happen if the candle isn’t burned long enough on its first lighting. Trim the wicks. Wicks should be trimmed to be about 1/4”. If a wick is too long, it will have a darker flame and soot can accumulate. Do not burn the candle for more than 3-4 hours. After 3-4 hours, the wicks should be trimmed.
Keep the candle away from air vents, windows or drafts. Uneven air flow causes a candle to tunnel. If you notice the flame flickering, or it appears to be tunneling, move the candle to a place with less air movement.
